Photoshop

I haven’t had much time the last few days to get out of the house and shoot any photographs, so I decided today I would dig into the vault and see what I have. The whole idea here again is a design a day and I have had some trouble committing to actually posting something every day. Anyhow, digging through the vault I found some of my work from the days when I was REALLY into Photoshop a lot more than I am today. It’s not that I don’t want to get my creative juices flowing by throwing some colors and shapes on a canvas, but its more or less I just don’t have the amount of time to sit and be uber creative.

I started learning Photoshop back in 1994 just four years after it had released version 1, I believe that at this point it was Photoshop 2.5. Adobe has shifted from just being able to throw basic shapes on a canvas to being able to draw realistic photographs of people. I mean hell look what its done for celebs

It has defiantly come a long way and I don’t know if and when that journey will ever end for Adobe, technology moves a such a quick pace its never ending. Getting back to my work, I found this old piece I did back probably right when the 2008 mustang came out.

I wanted to make it look like I had drafted up the idea of the Mustang. I used some techniques to create the hand drawn look of the car, placed it on some blueprint paper, made a few call outs and there you have it 2008 Ford Mustang Concept car.
It still amazes me how full circle Photoshop has become and how it really is one of the most widely accepted and pretty much the only tool used by graphic artist. I know there are tools out there for creating differnt types of graphics 3-D, vector, bitmaps whatever you fancy for photo manipulation, Photoshop will win every time!  Take a gander at the Mustang Concept I created, its fun, different and original
